Let’s train to the gestures which save
The Union départementale des sapeurs-pompiers 13 in partnership with the company Mobisport Concept create to fight against premature death.
According to the French Federation of Cardiology, every year, 50,000 people die prematurely from cardiac arrest, i.e. 135 people a day.
- 7 times out of 10, this arrest occurs in front of witnesses, less than 20% of whom will have practiced life-saving gestures.
- After the November 2015 attacks, many French people expressed the wish to know the useful gestures to save lives.
- The Adopt Life-Saving Behaviors campaign was declared a Great National Cause in September 2016,
- To date, and despite all the efforts made, the initial objective of training 80% of the population remains difficult to achieve.
In partnership with the Mobispsort company, this new concept calls for the self-training of citizens through these new generation communicating street furniture. This innovative process will allow to reach a larger population but also to target critical sites such as sports venues, schools, shopping malls, airports, train stations, subways.

Thus “the bench that saves” describes in all simplicity the procedure allowing to preserve a life while waiting for the arrival of the help and in certain most serious cases, to use an external automatic defibrillator placed in the armrest of the furniture.
